Londyn Madison King

 Londyn Madison King
Born- July 12, 2012
7lbs 10oz  22 inches

Londyn made her arrival into this world with a bang.  At 3:00am on July 11, 2012, my water broke.  After Chad worked all night and had just gotten home and I hadn't slept either because of being uncomfortable, we made our way to the hospital.  The doctors started the medicine to start my contractions.  After 12 hours of labor, Londyn's heart rate kept going up and down.  The doctors couldn't get it to recover like they wanted, so the decision was made to have a c-section.  At this point, I had some much medicine in me that I was very out of it and didn't really realize what was going on, which was for the best.  The doctors were wonderful, they got her out in just minutes.  Even though her cord was wrapped around her neck, she was perfect and just fine.  Two days later we were able to go home and continue to be doing great.

Baby Girl's Room

We just finished making the final touches to our baby girls room.  We have the theme of owls, but didn't want to go too overboard.  Like some of my friends have said, I hope she doesn't grow up to hating owls because of this.

Here is her crib with the cute flower lights we found at IKEA.  It's hard to see put the crib is already full of stuffed animals for her to love.

We decided to get a dresser to use as the changing table.  Plus we found the cute owl painting and butterfly prints to make it perfect.

Now we are just waiting for her to arrive and we can start using all of these things and the wonderful gifts we have received from Family and Friends.

Nervous!!!

What a crazy weekend we had!!  Chad and I attended a day long birthing class at the hospital.  I was very excited to learn and feel more prepared for the big day.  However, after 7 hours I left very nervous, overwhelmed, and NOT ready to give birth.  I guess its a little too late to be considering this.  I have started to calm down and realized that even though they talk about having a plan, you really can't plan for this.  How and when she comes is not up to me.  I just need to let go of my planning self and just focus on the excitement of meeting and seeing our beautiful baby girl.  After our meeting, I talked Chad into going to Target to finish getting a few things we needed from there.  This helped me take my mind off all the information we just had imbedded into our brains.

Sunday was a relaxing day of laundry, organization, and taking some time for me!!!  Haven't done that in a while!!

Changes!!!

I know that it has been forever since I last posted, but I am going to try and get on track again.  We have had lots of changes since my last post.
My Niece, Luna Anne Fischer, was born in August.  She has become a wonderful addition to our family. She is now almost 9 months old and starting to show her personality every moment.
Looks like she is going to have curly hair like her dad and aunt Laura.  Good thing I can help because all dad would do is cut it off.

Another big change in our household is we are expecting a baby girl towards the end of July, July 20 is my due date.  This pregnancy has gone pretty well, normal sickness at  the beginning and just feeling huge now.  With just two weeks left of school, I am looking forward to getting prepared for her arrival.  Both Chad and I can't wait to have a little girl, it will be different from the boys, but we can't wait.

Last weekend, my wonderful friends, sister-in-law, and mom threw me the best shower in the world.  They took the owl theme that we are doing in her bedroom and ran with it, they had owl cupcakes, owl decorations, owl thank you cards, and the cutest owl ornaments (thanks so much Lisa).  Not to mention the food; broccoli cheese soup, veggie pizza, kelly's wonderful salad, chicken salad sandwich, and fruit with dip.  Mmmm!!!

Amazingly, Kate (my best friend since middle school) and I are pregnant at the same time as well.  She is three weeks behind me, we will see how close or far away we actually deliver from each other soon.
More pictures to come of the shower, people, and gifts.

A weekend of fun with Grandpa and Grandma Cindy

This past weekend Chad, the boys, and I went to Grandpa and Grandma Cindy's house. On Saturday morning, we went fishing at Uncle Kenneth's house. The boys really enjoyed learning how to cast and trying to catch a fish. Then after dinner, we drove to Land Between the Lakes and drove through the Elk and Bison Preserve. While driving through and saw the Elk and Bison all over. It was a great way to end the day.

Grandpa caught the biggest fish.

Look there is a really big Elk, right over there.
Aren't I just the cutest?

Our New Niece, Luna

On August 21, 2011, Luna Anne Fischer was born at 1:58am.  She was 7lbs 9oz and 19.5 inches long. It was a long a strenuous labor, but Kelly did wonderful and it was all worth it in the end.  Luna is now home doing well.  Chad and I had the great opportunity to spend last Saturday with Eric, Kelly, and Luna.  It was a wonderful day and I don't think Luna cried once.  We are so excited to watch her grow and see if she keeps all that wonderful black hair!

Look at the pretty face and all that hair!

Destin, Florida

In June, we had the opportunity to travel to Destin, Florida. The boys had never been to the ocean before. We started the drive on Saturday and arrive in Destin at about noon on Sunday. It was a long drive, but well worth the trip when we saw that clear blue water. We spent most of our time on the beach: swimming and playing in the sand. We also were able to go on a dolphin cruse, eat at some wonderful restaurants, and go shopping. It was a very memorable trip.
